UNFPA-funded hygiene-kit distribution supporting older women affected by floods in Jaffna and Ampara districts.
Supported by UNFPA funding, HASL distributed 1,268 hygiene kits to older women affected by floods across the Northern (Jaffna) and Eastern (Ampara) provinces between December 2024 and March 2025. The report provides a detailed breakdown showing 634 kits allocated to Jaffna DS divisions (Delft, Kayts, Point Pedro) and 634 to Ampara DS divisions (Addalachchenai, Akkaraipattu, Pottuvil). The hygiene kits were part of an emergency response to restore dignity and address menstrual and hygiene needs for older women in disaster-affected areas.
