Initiated in 1991, the Direct Mail Fundraising Campaign remains the highest income-earning fundraising activity for HelpAge Sri Lanka. During the reporting period, the campaign achieved the second-highest total in its history, generating a turnover of Rs. 21.7 million.
Approximately 60,000 donation packs were mailed to dedicated and prospective donors. The campaign strategy revolves around three key seasonal peaks: the Vesak season (May), the International Day of Older Persons (October), and the Christmas/New Year season (December/January). While the primary theme is helping less privileged elders restore their vision, funds raised also support Mobile Medical Camps, disability equipment distribution, and the Day Centre.
