Full Description

Established in 2011, the Special Projects Division focuses on securing funds from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budgets of leading Sri Lankan companies. During the review period, the division successfully financed free cataract surgeries, mobile medical camps, and disability aids.
Key Achievements:
Supreme Global Holdings:Sponsored 48 Mobile Medical and Eye Camps (double camps every Saturday), screening ~300 elders weekly.
Dialog Axiata Partnership:A long-standing partner since 2010. Through SMS campaigns, customers donated Star Points (raising Rs. 438,306.55). The total contribution from Dialog Star Points initiatives amounted to Rs. 12,551,372.
Share As You Earn (SAYE):This programme encourages voluntary monthly salary contributions from corporate employees. New partnerships were forged with Habib Bank, Milco (Pvt) Ltd, Peoples Leasing & Finance PLC, Richard Pieris Co. PLC, and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA).
HelpAge Sri Lanka, in partnership with UNDP and with funding support from the Governments of Australia and New Zealand, distributed cash voucher assistance to 450 elderly persons affected by Cyclone DITAWA in the Badulla District. The assistance was provided across three Divisional Secretariat Divisions: Passara, Lunugala, and Meegahakivula, aiming to support vulnerable older women over 55 years in meeting their immediate needs and enhancing their resilience during the recovery process.
