The HelpAge Eye Hospital (established as a full hospital in 2009) celebrated reaching the 55,000+ free cataract surgeries milestone during the year under review (milestone event May 2026). By the end of FY 2025/26 the report records 52,249 cataract surgeries performed since inception. The hospital operates free surgery slots Monday–Thursday and a clinic day on Friday.
