The Sponsor a Grandparent (SaG) Programme was renewed from 1 April 2025 for FY 2025/26 with funding from HelpAge International. Key activities included a 3-day residential capacity-building training for 50 National Senior Citizens’ Federation executives, leadership and bookkeeping training, an International Day of Older Persons celebration in Kegalle, 41 mobile medical and eye camps, and livelihood support through microloans.
