A key service supporting 1,764+ elders to live safely and independently in their own homes through trained caregiver assistance and regular monitoring.
Promotes independent living and dignity by allowing elders to remain with families instead of institutional care.
Upon request, a Matron or Assistant Matron assesses the client's dependency level. A suitable caregiver is assigned, and the case is allocated to a Field Office for ongoing supervision.
All Home Care Assistants are trained by a professional resource panel. Staff monitor and supervise caregivers daily to ensure consistent, high-standard care.

The Home Care Assistance Program is dedicated to supporting older persons to live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. HelpAge’s home-care model allows elders to remain with their families—avoiding the need for institutional care—while receiving support with daily living, health needs, and meaningful companionship.
In the 2025/26 financial year, the division demonstrated significant impact, providing assistance to 1,764 elders and processing 841 new client requests. To ensure high standards, the team conducted 1,073 monitoring visits and trained 172 new carers.
